Bill & Ted Face The Music tells the tale of two time traveling dudes who must write the most triumphant song in order to bring harmony to a most heinous world. Three decades have passed since the first installment of the franchise, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and this time they have more than the world to save. In Bill & Ted Face The Music they must unite the planet, but with love on the rocks, they also need to save their marriages.
In order to deal with the present, middle-aged Bill and Ted visit the past and future. Bill & Ted Face The Music introduces us to their princess wives and mother of their daughters. Jayma Mays (Glee) plays Mrs. Joanna Preston, wife of Bill S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Erinn Hayes (Children’s Hospital) plays Mrs. Elizabeth Logan, wife of Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves). This film also introduces us to several new characters including Bill and Ted’s daughters portrayed by Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not) and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical).
The Princess Brides
The actresses who portray the princess characters changed throughout the film’s sequels. In any event, they found a good fit with their current casting of Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes. Diane Franklin and Kimberly Kates fill the part of “historical babes” in the first Bill & Ted movie. In the sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Sarah Trigger, and Annette Azcuzy take on the royal roles.

It’s nice to see Bill & Ted Face The Music keep several cast members from the original movies. Actors Hal Landon Jr., Amy Stoch, and William Sadler all reprise their roles. Also on board is original writer and director Chris Matheson and writer Ed Solomon. Orion Pictures distributes the film and Dean Parison (Galaxy Quest) directs. Producer of Bill & Ted 1 and 2, Scott Kroopf, takes the reins as producer again, with help from Alex Lebovici, and Steve Ponce, among others.
Lucky for me, I participated in the Bill & Ted Face The Music virtual press junket. In this brief four-minute interview with the film’s rock star wives, Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes, we talk about bro-mance, romance, and other relationships in Bill & Ted 3. We also discuss where they would travel to if they had a time-traveling telephone booth. Enjoy this bodacious interview with the real housewives of San Dimas my excellent friends!
See Bill and Ted Face The Music in select theaters and on-demand on Friday, August 28th. For more information on the film visit the official website.
Stay up to date with Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes and follow them on Instagram.
