In addition to an all new season of the fantastic Black Mirror netflix will also be releasing a sort of web series called Little Black Mirror on their Netflix América Latina channel. The series will have three mini episodes headlined by Latin American YouTube stars. The release dates for the episodes are as follows May 26, June 2 and June 6.

You can check out descriptions of the three stories below.

“SMITHEREENS: A cab driver with an agenda becomes the centre of attention on a day that rapidly spirals out of control. Starring Andrew Scott, Damson Idris, Topher Grace.

RACHEL, JACK AND ASHLEY, TOO: A lonely teenager yearns to connect with her favorite pop star – whose charmed existence isn’t quite as rosy it appears… Starring Miley Cyrus, Angourie Rice, Madison Davenport.

STRIKING VIPERS: Two estranged college friends reunite in later life, triggering a series of events that could alter their lives forever. Starrig Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff, Ludi Lin.”

As I love the show I will surely be pulling these up on YouTube. While I understand overexposure and quality control, Black Mirror usually skimps on the number of episodes (in comparison to what we’re used to anyway) so the more Black Mirror the better. Having said that I would rather have a small handful of GREAT stories as opposed to a dozen stories consisting of four greats stories, four good stories, and four stories on the scale of meh-ok.

I am also of the opinion that Black Mirror is the show in this genre that comes closest to the writing level of the old Twilight Zone. The acting and sets weren’t always great, but we can’t really blame them considering the time period. What’s awesome is the stories were so good that we look passed the sets and stuff because the stories were so well told.

I was hooked on Black Mirror from the first episode I watched, which happened to be the second episode of the second season,”White Bear.” That episode was twisted and really made me think, which is one of the best aspects of the show. I don’t think Netflix would attach anythign to the Black Mirror name that was subpar so I am looking for to Little Black Mirror.

An official synopsis for Little Black Mirror follows below.

“Netflix presents Little Black Mirror, three mini stories connected to the universe of this acclaimed series starring Maia Mitchell (Our Last Summer), Rudy Mancuso, Juanpa Zurita, Lele Pons, Anwar Jiwabi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek, Delaney Glazer and Alesso.”
