Holy crap, you remember The New Mutants? Yeah, that movie that was supposed to come out…*looks at calendar*…in April of 2018? Good God, that was a long time ago. Well, the current April 3, 2020 date is still fast approaching, and we still haven’t had a new trailer for whatever the heck this movie’s eventually going to be.
So, can we actually expect it to hit? All the delays surrounding it seems to hint at a no, bug when prompted on social media as to when we could expect another trailer, writer-director Josh Boone gave an optimistic response.

So, what in the hell can we actually expect from this thing? Honestly, I don’t know. It’s a property that was first pitched as sort of a young adult X-Men, but seeing as how that’s basically what X-Men became at the tail end of those Fox films, it didn’t seem distinct enough.
Horror lover Josh Boone then pitched a full-fledged horror take, which was reflected in the trailers we had a chance to see. However, with two years worth of delays, it really does make us wonder whether or not this was a film actually worth saving, or if Disney should have shelved it forever.
If nothing else, I think many of us are just curious about what’s become of it. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts down below!
