Think Vinyl Is The Gold Standard Of Music? Like Final Fantasy? Good News!

I know a lot of people swear that vinyl records are the only way to enjoy the true sound of music. Those same people spend ridiculous amounts of money on tubes for their analog guitar and bass amps. Both of those opinions are debatable because the “warmth” heard and felt in analog formats is really background noise and not the real sound of music. However, most people listen to their music in .mp3 format, which is compressed to all hell. A lossless audio track should actually be over 15mb and not the 3-4mb .mp3s usually are. Many people compare vinyl to this format of digital music and the truth is, anything sounds better than .mp3. With all of that technical stuff, and slight dig at analog enthusiasts, out of the way (Sorry, had to be done!) let’s give you fans some awesome news!

Amazon is offering a two-LP vinyl set with music from both the original Final Fantasy VII and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Remake the reasonable price of $79.98. The records are printed with images from the classic case art and new art from the upcoming game. This will be a must-have for fans of the game’s music even if you’re not into vinyl. The discs are sure to look beautiful. I have seen some really cool displays made with picture vinyl records and may find these on my wall in the future. You can pre-order the set now and they will be released on January 31st, 2020.
