Much has been made about the drastic changes made to the character Ivy Pepper in Fox’s Gotham. The writers and producers just made the decision to age her up from an adolescent teen to a fully grown woman and, as such, have recast her, and they’ve also added more comic book elements to the character. While she began her life on Gotham as Ivy Pepper, a youthful reimagining of the classic villain, the show runners have now decided to turn her into full-on Poison Ivy for this third season.

A new featurette from Gotham shows off the transformation, and gives us some idea of what we can expect. You’ll see that at the start of the video she’s played by Clare Foley and by the end it’s Maggie Geha inhabiting the role.

Ivy Pepper Is Reborn on Gotham:

They’ve also released the following description for next week’s new episode of Gotham:

Fish Mooney (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith) takes matters into her own hands to locate Hugo Strange (guest star BD Wong), forcing Gordon to reluctantly team up with journalist Valerie Vale (guest star Jamie Chung) to find her. Penguin rises in popularity after criticizing the work of the GCPD and Bruce’s investigation of the Court of Owls is compromised. Meanwhile, Ivy Pepper (Maggie Geha) is reintroduced into Gotham city in the all-new “Mad City: Burn The Witch…”

You’ll get to see the all-new episode, which will include the reintroduction of Ivy, on Monday night September 26.
