Not that the following information will in anyway stop nerds around the world from arguing about it, but the old debate of whether or not Superman could keep up with Flash speed wise has been settled. In the latest comics based footrace, the Man of Steel was left far behind by both the Flashes, Barry Allen and Wally West
Josh Williamson, DC comics writer for The Flash said that fans have always, or should have always known that it really isn’t a contest (which is the way I feel about the MJ vs LeBron debate).
“I feel like it’s always been that way. I mean, that’s kind of The Flash’s thing, right? He’s the fastest man alive… it’s right there. I feel like we’ve all been saying it this whole time. I’m sure there are Superman fans that are disappointed, but I mean… Superman can do everything else. He’s Superman.”
A race between the Flash and Superman did happen in a Justice League mid-credit scene, but fans only got to see the start of the race, a winner wasn’t shown. What us nerds really need is confirmation one way or the other on whether or not a lightsaber can cut through vibranium, but this will have to do for now.
Does this latest race definitively prove who is faster once and for all? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
